How to Commission
Over the years Helaina has created many special commission pieces for private and commercial clients – a Vintage Mobile cinema bus, The London Eye, Tower bridge and a 2000-year-old yew tree to name just a few.
If you are interested, here is how the process works…
Plan
Contact Helaina with details and images, giving as much information as possible. State any size requirements - If it needs to fit that nook in the living room or if it is going to be pride of place above the fireplace. Also, if you have a budget limit or it is time critical (I.e., it is your wedding anniversary at the end of the month….) please specify. Send photos of the subject matter, or reference to past pieces you like.
Design
Helaina will then do a pen and ink line drawing, for discussion and approval. Tweaks can be done to the design, size, and detail at this stage. A quote and time frame will be given.
Once the design, price and time frame are agreed, a deposit is needed to confirm the order.
Make
Helaina will work her wiring magic and recreate the pen and ink drawing in all its 3D wirework glory. When it is finished, she will let you know (with pictures if you would like to spoil the unboxing surprise!) The remaining balance is then requested before the piece is carefully packaged and posted.
Enjoy
Finally hang your unique artwork (somewhere with good lighting to maximise those shadows!) for all your friends and family to see!
